The Freedom in America Series
are primary source documents that allow the reader to come to his/her own conclusions about the intent of the Founders of the United States.
is comprised of three standards-based supplemental Reader developed to tell a more complete story of America’s history and the thinking of the Founding Fathers as they wrote the nation’s founding documents. The first two Readers, The U.S. Constitution Reader
and Freedom in America, Part 1: Through 1865, have been completed and are available in print and online. The third Reader, Freedom in America, Part 2: 1865-Present, is currently in development. EIE believes these Readers fill the gap in today’s social studies curriculum by providing a more balanced view.
