ESSENTIALS in EDUCATION

Freedoms, The Bible, and Facts are Essential to Education

In today’s educational environment, the challenges to simply mentioning the Bible are extreme... yet Essentials in Education (EIE) has developed a method and the material to teach it in our classrooms! We believe our country will benefit from becoming more informed students and citizens. Will you join us in our mission to have a positive impact on students’ lives?

Essentials in Education has achieved many milestones in its 16-year history including:
  • Longer-Term Impact. Surveys indicate that 72% of students, upon completion of the Bible Literacy course, continue to read the Bible.
  • Academic Acceptance. Teachers and Administrators like it as evidenced by its growing market share across the country.
  • Legal and Proven. EIE has not faced a legal challenge. It has established itself as a trusted provider of quality educational programs. Legislation supporting academic Bible study has been approved in eight states—Georgia, Texas, South Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Arizona.

Relevant for Today’s Schools: Freedom in America Series (www.constitutioncurriculum.org

The Freedom in America Series are primary source documents that allow the reader to come to his/her own conclusions about the intent of the Founders of the United States.

The Series is comprised of three standards-based supplemental Reader developed to tell a more complete story of America’s history and the thinking of the Founding Fathers as they wrote the nation’s founding documents. The first two Readers, The U.S. Constitution Reader and Freedom in America, Part 1: Through 1865, have been completed and are available in print and online. The third Reader, Freedom in America, Part 2: 1865-Present, is currently in development. EIE believes these Readers fill the gap in today’s social studies curriculum by providing a more balanced view.

Essentials in Education (EIE), founded by Chuck Stetson in 2001, is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to provide quality educational materials that are standards-based, instructionally sound, and encourage high character. EIE’s programs include the Bible Literacy Project (www.bibleliteracy.org) and the Freedom in America Series (www.constitutioncurriculum.org).
